recently,Microsoft Android Subsystem WSA pushes a new version: 2205.40000.14.0which includes several new improvements to the platform.
Windows 11’s Android Subsystem integration is getting advanced networking support, enabling apps to access devices native to ARM hardware. At the same time, Microsoft has also added support for two new features – IPv6 and VPN connections.
Here is the full changelog for the July 2022 Update for WSA for Windows 11:
– Microsoft has enabled advanced networking features. This provides ARM with application access to local network devices.
– The IP address of the VM has been updated and is now the same as the host/machine IP.
– Microsoft has fixed issues with maximizing or resizing.
– Microsoft has fixed mouse and trackpad scrolling issues in the application.
– As part of a privacy update, Microsoft has confirmed that windows marked as safe can no longer be screenshotted. This includes Chrome’s incognito mode.
– Microsoft is improving the launch of the web browser.
– Enable support for hibernation and app standby.

– Microsoft has fixed application flickering and graphics corruption, video playback, network issues, and more. In fact, Microsoft claims that the update improves the performance and reliability of connecting to virtual WiFi.
– Microsoft is improving video playback in the app and adding support for the AV1 codec.
– Enable IPv6 and VPN connections
– Microsoft has fixed video playback issues, including a bug that could prevent the screen from turning off in Windows.
Windows 11 Android Subsystem (Windows Subsystem for Android) includes the Linux kernel and the Android operating system based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) version.
This subsystem runs in a Hyper-V virtual machine, just like the Linux subsystem, and can map the runtime and API of the App in the AOSP environment to the Windows graphics layer, memory buffers, input modes, physical and virtual devices, and sensors, Can run on Intel, AMD, Qualcomm processors.
