The well-known loot shooter franchise in a post-pandemic world is entering the next round. Ubisoft recently announced the first mobile offshoot, The Division Resurgence.
The Division Resurgence: New story and familiar gameplay
The publisher recently announced it himself on his website. Anyone who already liked the previous parts can expect a campaign independent of the first two parts with The Division Resurgence.
In it you take part in the legendary first wave of SHD (Strategic Homeland Division) agents and should get a whole new perspective on the events of The Division 1 and 2. So this is a prehistory.
Fans can look forward to the established gameplay of the predecessors and that means above all: take cover, shoot, kill loot and upgrade equipment. In addition, new characters, enemies and groups are introduced. There is already a first trailer:
Free AAA experience on the go
It also promises a AAA gaming experience in a “massive, urban open world”. The Division Resurgence will also be a mobile game, coming soon to Android and iOS, and will also be free-to-play.
There is currently no specific release date. An alpha test is to take place soon. Incidentally, The Division Resurgence is not the only new part in the works: Ubisoft is still working on The Division: Heartland in parallel.
