Smash Bros has, like other Nintendo licenses before it, created a genre in its own right, spawning a myriad of more or less successful titles. However, despite a few cool games or more, so far none have ever really managed to reach the heights reached by games of masahiro sakurai. Latest title to try it: MultiVersus, a “free” game that has recently had an open beta on PC, Xbox and Playstation. The opportunity to approach the gameplay of the game and discover the first fighters all from Warner licenses (including the animated ones from Cartoon Network, DC Comics, Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones, etc…) Obviously, difficult not to make a comparison with Super Smash Bros. Ultimatethe hit of the nintendo-switch of which we find, it seems, a lot of elements… To be sure, DigitalFoundry just had fun making a comparison video (in English) that we invite you to discover below.
Note that for now, MultiVersus is not advertised on nintendo-switch and that it will therefore a priori be available only on platforms that do not have Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So is it a good alternative? Let us know what you think in the comments – especially if you’ve tried it. MultiVersus.
