Official 3D renderings of Samsung’s next connected watches have leaked on the web. It shows what the two new models will look like.
The famous leaker Evan Blass has struck again! He has just revealed what the new Galaxy Watch5 and 5 Pro connected watches that Samsung is preparing will look like. The Watch5 Pro, codenamed Project X, will be the more expensive of the two. It should feature a 45mm case (or 46mm according to other leaks) and come in black or titanium gray colorways. This model is the sequel to last year’s Watch4 Classic. Alas, we note that the watch no longer has a mechanical rotating dial, as is currently the case for the Watch4 Classic. In addition, the current model offers the choice between two case sizes (42 or 46 mm).
You will have the choice between a version with an integrated 4G module, so as not to depend on the smartphone, and another with only Bluetooth.
Next is the Galaxy Watch5, codenamed Heart. This model is the sequel to the Watch4 watch launched in 2021 by Samsung. It should be offered with two case sizes (40 and 44 mm), as well as in five colors (black, gray, pink and blue).
Again, the manufacturer will give the choice between a simple Bluetooth version and another with a 4G module.
Both watches run on Wear OS 3.5, the operating system from the alliance between Samsung and Google, with the One UI Watch 4.5 interface. They could benefit from more efficient charging with an increase in power from 5W to 10W. Leaks also mention 5 ATM water resistance, as for the Watch4, which corresponds to immersion up to 50 m deep. .
The Watch5 watches are expected to be announced by Samsung on August 10 at an Unpacked event, along with the manufacturer’s new Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4 folding smartphones.
