The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 for short) is probably the most important game fair for gamers there is. After known difficulties in the past two years, the 2023 fair will be held as usual, this time again with guests on site.
Like almost all in-person events, E3 2022 had to be canceled due to the pandemic. After Blizzard had recently announced the in-house game fair to really revive BlizzCon 2023, those responsible for E3 have also decided to hold the event in June 2023. They announced this on Twitter.
Unlike Messe 2021, which was a digital event with no fans, or the canceled Messe 2022, which resulted in publishers holding their own events, E3 2023 will be back in full force – meaning that guests present again will be.
E3 with a new partner
The fair will be held by ReedPopthe same group that hosts New York Comic-Conproduced and in partnership with the ESA (Entertainment Software Association). Fans, publishers, developers, journalists, manufacturers, buyers and licensors are expected.
Lance Fensterman, President of ReedPop, said of E3 2023: “It is a great honor and privilege for ReedPop to assume responsibility for the return of E3 in 2023. With the support and endorsement of ESA, we will be world class -Build event to serve the global gaming industry in new and broader ways than we already do at ReedPop through our portfolio of world-leading events and websites.” What do you think of E3 as an in-person event? Do you prefer the online presentations, like in the last few years? We look forward to your opinion in the comments.
