Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged Jobs’ award on Twitter, saying he was a “visionary” who “sees the future of the world.”
Tim Cook tweeted, “Today, Steve was awarded the Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor. He was a visionary who challenged us not only to see through the current state of the world, but also to To foresee the future of the world. We treasure his memory and continue to carry on his legacy.”
The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the nation’s highest civilian honor, awarded to those who “have made outstanding contributions to American prosperity, values or security, world peace, or other important social, public or private causes.”
