In May of this year, the modder “General Tantor” released a revised 2.0 version of the Star Wars Jedi Knight Remastered modification for Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Now the General has modified his mod so that it also supports the Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith supported.

Lucas Arts released Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II in 1997, an excellent first-person shooter based on the science fiction film series. No wonder modders later realized a remaster version called Star Wars Jedi Knight Remastered, which was revised again in May 2022 by the modder “General Tantor”. However, said Star Wars Jedi Knight Remastered 2.0 did not previously support the 1998 expansion Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith. Something about that has changed now, because the General has a corresponding update at Mod DB provided.

The whole package in one installer

The mod now with the long title Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Remastered 2.0 contains the modifications JkGfxMod v0.3.0 Beta, Mysteries of the Sith Neural Upscale Texture Pack, Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Texture Pack as well as an enhancement mod for JkGfxMod ( MotS Edition) in version 0.40. There is no fiddly installation, mind you, because General Tantor delivers all of this in a single installer package. In addition, the modder has taken on the cutscenes of the shooter and presented the result in the trailer below.

The heart of the updated 2.0 remaster is JkGfxMod. The modification generally improves performance in certain scenarios and brings numerous quality-of-life improvements. These include HUD scaling and a hardware-accelerated window mode. The mod also supports 32-bit color, bloom, ambient occlusion and parallax mapping.
