Since the official firmware update 4.89, on May 10, 2022, some PS3 users who have passed the milestone have been waiting for the PS3 Toolset update from bguerville to be able to take advantage of its options.
In the history, version 1.2 of PS3 Toolset was about to be unveiled, when Sony released firmware 4.89, so the program had to be redesigned so that it works on this new firmware 4.89, and a Russian site proposed a partial fork of the tool, unofficial, and which did not benefit from all the functions.
In this new version v1.2004, according to the developer “There are a few new features that work with firmware 4.89 support, such as memory remediation options including HAN, memory dump, extended system information details, and syscon error logs. The problem which led to crashes when loading the page on some configurations should be fixed.”.
Changelog 1.2.004:
Userland memory manager v1.2
– Added memory fix preset options for HAN and Debug packages.
– Added memory fix through prestaged files (using JSON syntax).
– Added options to dump memory by segments of executable files or by ranges.
– Added test for unallocated memory before reading any offset to avoid potential crashes. In a future update, UME Strict mode will be completely removed.
System Manager v1.3.1
– Added system information details and options to save this data to a file.
– Added syscon error logs
– added new patch file download feature to avoid using limited browser file download feature.
– added support for 4.89 patches
JS Xploit Framework v4.2 Update
– Hooked all existing VSH exports, the full range is available from JS without the need to use offsets.
– Fixed crashes on page load with certain configurations (Thanks to @No0bZiLLa for volunteering to help debug an issue that esc0 and I were never able to reproduce or investigate).
– Many other changes and improvements, the list is too long to list.
