Guilty Gear Strive played up the faux suspense with a character to be released this month when it was not yet announced. But that wasn’t the only announcement of the game’s finale at EVO 2022, shortly after revealing its roadmap and crossplay. Arc System Works took the opportunity to confirm having sold 1 million copies of the game (copies distributed but not necessarily sold, the famous “shipped”).

The first character of season 2 is therefore Bridget who fights using a yo-yo and Roger, a mechanical teddy bear possessed by a ghost. Born a boy, he was brought up as a girl to escape the superstition of his native village, but he has since tried to live as a man.

The update will be available today so technically the character too, but we won’t be able to buy the Season Pass 2 or the DLC alone until tomorrow. As promised, the patch will also reduce the input delay of the PlayStation 5 version. We remind you that the crossplay beta test will take place in mid-September.

And just before Bridget’s trailer, Arc System Works released a very nice music video (well, MV as they say among J-Pop or K-Pop fans) on the background of Find your own way, the theme of Sol Badguy on whom the images of the video are centered.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
