We already know that AMD’s next generation of processors will be launched shortly. Now, MSI has seemingly confirmed the exact date for the launch of the Ryzen 7000 series.
Recently, AMD confirmed that their architecture Zen 4 and Ryzen 7000 series of processors will be launched this quarter. This means that the launch will take place sometime before the end of September. Now it looks like MSI accidentally revealed the date that AMD themselves did not share.
In a promotional video for their upcoming X670 and X670E motherboards that was published on Weibo MSI lists September 15th as the launch date for the motherboards. Assuming that AMD and partner manufacturers launch processors and motherboards on the same day as they did with previous Ryzen launches, we thus have new evidence for when the launch actually takes place.
A processor launch without an associated motherboard does not sound very credible. Especially not when we will now be introduced to a completely new processor socket and platform of the AMD processors.
MSI shows a total of four motherboards in its video. MEG X670E Godlike, MEG X670E Ace, MPG X670E Carbon Wi-Fi and Pro X670-P Wi-Fi. Previous Ryzen launches have been accompanied by the launch of flagship motherboards from partner manufacturers. Something that could then be a clue to MSI launching motherboards based on the B650 control circuit at a later date.
Right now, we have no other confirmed date for the Ryzen 7000 launch other than MSI launching their motherboards on September 15th. However, previous rumors have claimed that the launch will take place on that date and that AMD will reveal its upcoming processors in detail on August 29.
