Shooter fans are already waiting for more information about the upcoming Call of Duty games. We can already tell you which date you have to mark in red in your calendar.

Activision really lets it rip in December and doesn’t skimp on superlatives like “epochal franchise event”. On September 15, Call of Duty Next is an event in which the publisher wants to reveal plenty of information about the upcoming Call of Duty games. And that’s obviously not a small amount.

Among other things, the showcase should contain many new details about Modern Warfare 2, but also a complete reveal of the multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare 2 is on the program. There should also be new information about Warzone 2 and mobile players will not miss out either, because Warzone Mobile, codenamed Project Aurora, is also on the list.

Apart from that, there should also be plenty of streamers on board at the event, who will shoot the virtual balls around their ears in real time.

It sounds exciting, however, that Activision should also contain information and surprises about something that has not yet been announced. Could this be planning for the coming year? Rumor has it that Activision will not launch another Call of Duty in the coming year and thus skip a year. However, the event announcement states there will be an “exciting array of premium and free Call of Duty experiences for this year, next year and the year after.”

Well, we’ll know more in a few weeks, so mark September 15 in bold on your calendar and write Call of Duty Next next to it. After that, you can look forward to the start of the Modern Warfare 2 beta almost seamlessly, as the dates are now known.
