According to the source, Huawei CEO Richard Yu shared his views on the global smartphone market with the media. In his opinion, the way the forces are now distributed is extremely unfair. He believes that Huawei would unequivocally lead the market on a par with Apple if not for US sanctions.
The fact that Samsung is now in the lead next to Apple, Richard Yu commented rather sharply and in offended tones. He said that “everyone else [кроме Apple и Huawei] are only small manufacturers, including Samsung, which can be sold mainly in the US and South Korean markets.”
The head of Huawei can be understood. For many years, the company was catching up with Samsung, but when it succeeded, sanctions appeared. On the other hand, calling Samsung a “small manufacturer” for a limited number of markets is sheer hypocrisy, since the South Korean company is in a leading position around the world.
