Unveiled in December 2021, ARC Raiders will ultimately not be released as planned this year, but rather next year.
The nervous and promising TPS gives an appointment in 2023
The announcement does not really surprise since since the first trailer of the game, the developers had not given any news of their baby when he was due out this year. The last hope was a big one reveal during Gamescom, but the Embark studio is taking the lead by announcing a release in 2023.
As often, the developers talk about an ambitious game and say they need more time to polish it so that it reaches its maximum potential. Embark Studio also specifies that they will be able to communicate more on the details of the game as the testing phases with the players intensify.
As a reminder, ARC Raiders is a free cooperative TPS in which physics and the use of the environment will be important. The fights mixing creativity and reactivity will be at the heart of the experience with sometimes huge robotic enemies, as presented in the game trailer below.
ARC Raiders is slated for release in 2023 on PC via the Epic Games Store, Steam, and Nvidia GeForce NOW, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PS5 consoles.
