macOS 13 Ventura beta 5 is finally available to developers. Apple is sending a new build to developers so they can continue testing what’s next for the company’s computers. It’s also been a month since the company released a public beta and patched version for developers.
Today’s build is 22A5321d. macOS 13 Ventura focuses on continuity features like the ability to start a FaceTime call on a Mac and seamlessly switch to an iPhone or iPad.
Another great addition to the macOS 13 Ventura beta is the Stage Manager feature, which is not only available for the iPad but also helps users organize their workflows across apps and windows. For the first time in this operating system, two new standard applications appeared: Clock and Weather.
Collaboration is another big word in the macOS 13 Ventura ecosystem, which is currently in beta:
With messages, you can send collaboration invitations so that everyone in a thread is automatically added to a spreadsheet in a document or project. Users will be able to view changes in real time, and developers will be able to integrate the collaboration capabilities of their applications with Message and FaceTime; With iCloud Share Photo Library, you can share your photo library with your family and give everyone equal rights to add, edit, favorite, caption, and delete photos.
Safari is also getting some love with its new collaboration features:
Shared tab groups allow you to share a set of tabs with friends. Everyone can add their own tabs and instantly see the tab group update as they collaborate.
Along with macOS 13 Ventura beta 5, Apple is releasing iOS 16 beta 5, iPadOS 16 beta 5, watchOS 9 beta 5, and tvOS 16 beta 5.
In a Bloomberg report, the publication says that Apple will likely delay the launch of iPadOS 16 by a month, which could mean the software will be available closer to the launch of macOS Ventura, which is also expected in October.
