This year, FIFA 23 brings together advancements in the Pro Clubs and Volta game modes.
So far, both ran independently of each other and basically both have little to do with each other.
This is how it will work in the future
In Pro Clubs, an 11vs11 mode, you control a single player as part of a team, while Volta is more of a FIFA street mode.
At EA Sports, however, they believe that the two go together.
More FIFA 23 news:
“It’s one of the things we wanted to do from the start to ensure that whether you’re playing online with your friends, you’re progressing in both areas,” said Richard Walz, game design director for Pro Clubs and Volta.
“Customization is something we’ve been doing at Volta for about two years and we know from members of the pro club community that they’ve been asking about customization options. The marriage of the two and the ability to spend your time in either Spending modes and unlocking customization options for his avatar just fits perfectly.”
So you can develop your Virtual Pro both in Pro Clubs and in Volta. Customization options and season progression are also shared between both modes.
This is how you use both modes to unlock content over the years that you can use in both. But: Not all Volta customization objects work in pro clubs, but tattoos and face paintings do.
“When I play FIFA, it’s to meet up with my friends,” emphasizes Walz. “That’s the essence of both Pro Clubs and Volta modes. This year we’ve brought the two modes a bit closer together and reward you for spending your time in authentic Pro Clubs mode or just having fun in Volta Foootball . So we built features to help you do just that.”
FIFA 23 will be released on September 30, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
