Last night, Elon Musk announced that he is withdrawing his bid on Twitter. The reason for this is because Elon believes that Twitter has violated several conditions for the agreement, including informing how many of the service’s daily active users are so-called spam accounts.
Now Elon, or rather Elon’s lawyers, must make sure to convince the court that Twitter violated the various conditions, otherwise there may be a hefty fine if the purchase is not made without a valid reason.
In connection with Elon announcing that he banged to buy Twitter, their share fell by around seven percent.
