Never two without three ?
Well, Firaxis repeats quite a bit that the game is postponed for the good of the game…and that’s probably true. Obviously, the development seems much more difficult than expected for the next game from the responsible studio XCOM reboot. Midnight Suns hopes to offer deep tactical gameplay in involving heroes well known to marvel universewhile offering an ambitious narrative for a Firaxis game.
After at the second postponement of the gamerumors had it that the card-based combat system had suffered quite drastic changesno doubt influenced by an audience that saw nothing else than one more CCGwith all monetary faults which could be delivered with… whereas Firaxis repeatedly explained that this was not the case.
Now it remains to be seen why publishers still persist in announce release dates if it is likely that the development teams will probably need of an extension of time term. It might be time to review this process and stop pleasing shareholders by setting unachievable deadlinesNope ?
In any case, it is worth noting that PC versions and latest generation consoles will be delivered first, while PS4, Xbox One and Switch players will have to be more patient. Take-Two quarterly report reveals that these versions have outright no exit windowwhich suggests that their existence could hang by a thread.
