There is a problem with the XPS viewer on Windows 10 and Windows 11 after installing KB5014668 or KB5014666 or later. XPS documents with non-English characters may not open.

It will certainly not affect many, because the XPS viewer has to be activated as an optional feature since Windows 10 1803. The bug affects both XML Paper Specification (XPS) and Open XML Paper Specification (OXPS) files. You may get an error message, “This page cannot be displayed” or you may experience high CPU load or RAM overflow. As Microsoft continues to write, a memory usage of 2.5 GB can be reached before the XPS viewer then shoots itself.

Microsoft is currently working on a solution. There is no direct workaround. Except as long as not to use the XPS viewer.
