Maybe we’ll see more of “Beyond Good & Evil 2” soon. According to Exputer, the external play tests will start shortly, which also means that development is progressing.

Ubisoft could push the development of “Beyond Good & Evil 2” past the next milestone. Noisy exporter The company is gearing up to start external testing later this month, which also signals that the title is in active development, which should provide some reassurance after years of delays.

The said report also mentions that the external testing around Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be more extensive than Ubisoft’s standard testing for games like The Division Heartland.

While little has been announced about Beyond Good & Evil 2 since it was unveiled at E3 2017, Ubisoft has maintained that the game is actively being worked on. Last February, however, it was said that the title was still there after all these years is in pre-production.

It is still unclear when the long-term project will appear. In the latest report on Exputer, Tom Henderson says there is no further indication of a release date or release window. However, if previous reports are to be believed, the game could be released in 2024 at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the question arises as to what form “Beyond Good and Evil 2” has taken in the meantime. Based on early information, Ubisoft appeared to be pursuing the idea of letting players explore multiple planets and detailed sci-fi cities, and the space in between. Presumably some kind of procedural generation and MMO-like online connectivity were planned.
