IT House reported on July 9th, the whistleblower @ 維城經Sui-YuuKi_AnS released a list of AMD EPYC 9000 series “Genoa” processors. The new processor can have up to 96 cores. Currently, various AMD partners These processors are being tested.
This also confirms from the side that AMD plans to completely change the naming rules of EPYC. It’s a little surprising that AMD’s next-generation EPYC EPYC processors, codenamed Genoa, will belong to the 9000 series rather than the previously expected 7004 series.
From the list he released, the new EPYC 9000 series will include more than a dozen SKUs, of which some models are already available for production work, while the rest are still engineering samples (ES).
The ES products that AMD partners are said to be validating, testing and evaluating include models with 16, 24, 32, 48, 64, 84 and 96 cores and 64MB – 384MB L3 cache.
Additionally, these CPUs will operate in the frequency range of 2.0 GHz / 2.15 GHz to 3.60 GHz / 3.80 GHz with a thermal design power (TDP) of approximately 260W – 360W and will use AMD’s new 6096pin SP5 socket with a maximum TDP of 400W , the peak power is 700W.
