The “Firefly Edition” for “The Last of Us: Part I” was sold out in no time. As demand continues, Naughty Dog hopes to increase circulation again.

When Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog officially announced a month ago that they would launch a remake of the iconic action-adventure game called “The Last of Us: Part I”, interest was high. Especially since those responsible also offer a so-called “Firefly Edition” for sale, which brings some special goodies with it.

Druckmann wants to supply more fans

There was only one problem. The Firefly Edition was only confirmed for the American market and was completely sold out within minutes. Not surprisingly, a large number of fans, especially from Europe, Australia and the rest of the world, were dissatisfied. Sony Interactive Entertainment apparently underestimated the demand for the “Firefly Edition”.

Now there might be some hope again. Naughty Dogs vice president and The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann was raised Twitter asked if the print run would be increased and responded, “Trust me, we’d really love to offer additional Firefly editions to our fans! We passed the message on!”

Time will tell if Sony Interactive Entertainment will comply with the development team’s request. European fans may also get another chance. At the end of the day, all you can do is keep hoping.

In addition to the actual game, the American Firefly Edition also includes a limited steel book box containing The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 to 4 and some digital content. These include a dark blue filter, a fast run mode, six weapon skins, and some early unlocks for abilities and weapon upgrades.
