Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives said that Apple plans to increase the price of all iPhone 14 series smartphones by $100.

Rising prices across the supply chain will force Apple to pass those costs on to consumers later this year, Ives said, so new iPhones will cost more than last year’s models. Many component suppliers have already raised prices due to chip shortages, lockdowns in China, and some other factors.

Analyst Ben Wood from CCS Insight also confirmed Ives’ forecast, but he believes that Apple has the final say – the company can keep last year’s prices, but then it will earn less.

So the 2022 iPhone prices would look like this:

  • iPhone 14 (128GB) – $899;
  • iPhone 14 Plus (128GB) – $999;
  • iPhone 14 Pro (128GB) – $1099;
  • iPhone 14 Pro (128 GB) – $1199.

Apple is expected to introduce new smartphones in September.
