Usually, the Samsung Galaxy S series adopts a dual-platform solution, such as the S22 series, the national bank, the US version using Qualcomm Snapdragon 8, and the European version using the Exynos 2200 chip.
Today, Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that due to the next-generation flagship 5G chip SM8550 (Snapdragon 8 Gen2) manufactured by TSMC 4nm,Qualcomm will likely be the sole processor supplier for the Samsung Galaxy S23 (70% of S22 shipments).
Ming-Chi Kuo said,The reason why the Samsung S23 does not use Samsung’s own Exynos 2300 processor is that it cannot compete with the SM8550 in all aspects. In other words, the Samsung S23 series will likely all use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
At the same time, Ming-Chi Kuo pointed out that Qualcomm SM8550 will gain more share in the high-end Android market in 2023.
Different from the “1+3+4” adopted by the Snapdragon 8,Snapdragon 8 Gen2 adopts a new “1+2+2+3” eight-core architecture designan extra large nucleus and a small one missing.
According to reports, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will be equipped with a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, support 3x optical zoom, and may stick to the 50-megapixel main camera.
As for the super cup Galaxy S23 Ultra, the machine is expected to be upgraded to a 200-megapixel main camera, and the sensor model is Samsung HP1.
As usual, the Galaxy S23 series will be released in Q1 2023.
