If you’re having trouble accessing Twitter this afternoon, you’re not alone. The service appears to be suffering from a partial outage affecting many users of Twitter for iPhone, Mac, and the web. There is currently no word on the cause or solution.
Twitter glitch
According to data compiled by Downdetector, the Twitter outage appears to have begun shortly after 2:00 pm ET / 11:00 am PT. Affected users cannot download the web or app version of Twitter, whether they are using iOS, macOS, or Android.
In some cases, Twitter loads after a few minutes but is severely broken. Images won’t show up and tweets are often hours out of date. You also cannot download any interaction information for these Tweets.
Twitter has yet to acknowledge the glitch. Its status page states that everything is working as expected and “all systems are working”.
