IT House July 10 news, Kingston this week announced the launch of the IronKey Locker+50 encrypted USB flash drive (LP50 for short). It has a metal casing, built-in key ring, and is compact and convenient, measuring 60.56mm x 18.60mm x 9.60mm, and supports running on Windows and macOS.

The LP50 is available in four versions: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 TYPE-A interface and comes with a cap.

In terms of performance, if you connect to the USB 3.2 channel, you can achieve up to 145MB/s continuous read and 115MB/s continuous write speed; if it is under the USB 2.0 channel, it can achieve up to 30MB/s read, 20MB/s write.

Kingston LP50 focuses on security encryption, supporting multiple passwords, administrator passwords and user passwords in complex password and phrase password modes.

The traditional complex password mode requires 3 of the 4 character sets to form a password of 6 to 16 characters, while the new phrase password mode allows users to use a numeric PIN, a sentence, or even a word of 10 to 64 characters List as password and supports international characters.

In order to reduce the number of failed logins, click the “eye” icon to enter the password in a visual state. If the user password is forgotten, the administrator password can be used to view data on the drive or reset the user password.

IT House learned that this consumer-grade encrypted flash drive has AES hardware encryption in XTS mode, and the digitally signed firmware can resist brute force password cracking and BadUSB attacks, thereby ensuring data security.

In addition, Kingston LP50 optional USBtoCloud function, whether it is Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Amazon Cloud Drive, Dropbox or Box can be used as personal cloud storage. In addition, Kingston comes pre-installed with all the required software and security features, and users do not need to install any additional applications.
