By David Wetzel New York (Knewz) — Another animal-derived virus has developed in China, and at least 35 people have been infected. The virus is called Langya Henipavirus or LayV. According to the Business Standard, Henipaviruses can cause severe illness in animals and humans. However, the virus transmits from animals to humans, and it’s not as contagious as the coronavirus. The Business Standard reported that the virus has had no reports of human-to-human transmission.
