You might as well prepare for it now, it is more than likely that Apple will increase the prices of the 2022 edition of the iPhone. Ming-Chi Kuo adds water to this mill that has been running for a while: according to the analyst, the average selling price (ASP) of the iPhone 14 range should be 15% higher than that of the iPhone 13.

The ASP could be around $1000 or $1050, due to the price increase on the iPhone 14 Pros. If we strictly apply this increase in Europe, with an iPhone 13 Pro costing €1,159 and an iPhone 13 Pro Max billed at €1,259, a 15% increase brings the prices to respectively €1,332 and €1,448. And these are the basic models, those with 128 GB of storage…

Attention, Kuo speaks of an increase in the average selling price of 15% when we take the entire 2022 range, not of an increase of 15% for each model. And then Apple could modulate the increase to reach psychological prices that are easier to pass. Nevertheless, prices are likely to hurt even more this year, especially since the euro has lost a lot in exchange against the dollar.

Are the iPhone 14s promised an inevitable increase?
