The total construction area of the project is 50,500 square meters, and 160 epitaxial furnaces, lithography machines, implanters and testing instruments will be purchased and introduced.After the project is completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 3.6 million 8-inch silicon epitaxial wafers.
Xi’an announced that the project will build an advanced power semiconductor engineering research center and a reliability engineering laboratory, which can realize the import substitution of power semiconductor products such as MOSFET and IGBT, and fill the market gap of the province’s integrated circuit industry that lacks 8-inch wafer production lines.
According to reports, the land development of No. 101 main plant, No. 102 production and testing plant, and No. 103 power station has been completed.
It is worth mentioning that the Longteng 8-inch power semiconductor manufacturing project is a key construction project in Xi’an in 2022.
