The Apple Watch “Extreme Sports” that the manufacturer should present at the start of the school year in addition to the Series 8 and the Apple Watch SE 2nd generation could finally inaugurate a brand new and unprecedented “Pro” range. Mark Gurman, in his newsletter Sunday, heard that Apple should indeed draw inspiration from its usual strategy in its other product families.

This Apple Watch Pro would therefore have a larger screen and a more resistant metal chassis, probably in titanium like the current Edition collection. Speaking of this range precisely, it could go to the ace with the launch of the Pro. The Edition range of watches has accompanied the Apple Watch since the product was presented in 2014, originally these models were in 18-karat gold at insane prices.

Since then, Apple has regained its senses, even if the Edition collection remains more expensive with its exclusive materials (there was ceramic and titanium). It should also be expected that the Apple Watch Pro is not particularly cheap.

Gurman thinks Apple could charge $900 or $999 for it, more than the Series 7 titanium in 45mm ($849/€829). The manufacturer will always be able to justify this increase by the additional services offered by this new range: a 1.99 inch screen (7% additional display compared to the 45 mm), a slightly larger case which will measure 46 or 47 mm, a temperature sensor (it will also be in the Series 8), an S8 chip.

The Apple Watch Series 8 will also be entitled to an improved screen, according to Gurman, but without changing size. The prices would be similar to those we currently know (from $399/€429), while the new Apple Watch SE would logically take the place of its predecessor from $279/€299.

Finally, the new power saving mode would still be in development. Present since the very beginnings of the Apple Watch, the current mode is content to display the time while waiting for the providential recharge. The new version would make it possible to use applications and other functions; it would be integrated into watchOS 9 but perhaps only for the 2022 vintage of watches.
