IT House reported on July 12 that recently, Huawei AppGallery has further optimized and upgraded the review system, launched an age-rating questionnaire service, and introduced the concept of age-rating from the initial stage of application application to strengthen the management of application age-rating content.

Huawei said that after the age grading questionnaire service was launched,When the developer applies for the app to be put on the shelves, he needs to fill in the age rating questionnaire truthfully according to the function and content of the app, the content of the questionnaire covers many aspects, including violent content, scary content, sexually related content, bad language, controlled items and activities, simulated gambling, monetary payment, law and ethics, user interaction, user information collection, etc. . Based on the content of the questionnaire filled in by the developer, the system automatically evaluates whether the application meets the basic requirements for listing. If it does not meet the requirements, the application cannot be listed on the Huawei AppGallery. If it meets the requirements, the system automatically evaluates the user’s minimum age requirements.

IT Home understands that,Huawei AppGallery is the first app marketplace in China to adopt age-level managementaccording to the category of the application, the minimum age requirement of users is restricted according to the gradient, and the application is divided into 5 gradients, namely, 3 years old, 7 years old, 12 years old, 16 years old and 18 years old.

Users can set content access restrictions in the “App Market”, and the system automatically matches applications based on the user’s age. If the user’s age is lower than the minimum age required by the application, the user cannot download the application. If a user is younger than 16 years old, Then the user cannot download apps with an age requirement of 16+.
