The start of the beta of the co-op campaign was originally expected for yesterday, July 11th. As you may have noticed, this was not the case.

The start of the co-op beta has been slightly delayed

“You will soon be able to take on the fight against the Exiles with your friends and family in the upcoming beta, scheduled to start the week of July 11th,” 343 Industries announced in June. Community Director Brian Jarrard writes on Twitter why the developer can no longer stick to his rough start date.

“The team is still working on our upcoming Halo Infinite Network co-op Insider Flight build. While we’ve always said our ‘goal is the week of July 11th’, many sites have simply taken it as ‘off July 11’. We’re still hoping for this week, but it won’t start today.”

Jarrard continues, “The test flight rollout is fluid as the process involves discovering issues in the initial rings and resolving them before expanding to a larger audience. A number of issues have been discovered in our current flight ring and the team is working to resolve them .”

“We apologize to everyone who was anticipating today’s flight – we’re really looking forward to putting the machine in your hands, but we also want to make sure it’s a positive and rewarding flying experience. The goal is still this week , but work goes on day by day. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Phew, that was a lot of flight metaphors. As it sounds, it shouldn’t be too long before we get to take to the skies in co-op for the first time.
