Accustomed to biases in his games, 11 bit Studios once again continues on the path of survival with the announcement of its latest born, The Alterson the occasion of PC Gaming Show.

When we talk about survival, we usually think of post-apocalyptic worlds, testing our nerves against hordes of mutants and/or zombies. 11 bit Studios took a completely opposite and yet equally oppressive path. The Polish developers first threw players in 1992, in the midst of the Bosnian war where the survival of a group of civilians is in our hands with This War of Mine. This was followed by the management of the last city on earth in the middle of the ice age on frostpunk. And now The Alterswhose presentation trailer is quite confusing, to say the least.

See double, triple or more

The Polish studio invites you here to ask yourself the question that we have all asked ourselves at least once: What would my life be today if I had made this choice rather than another?

Jan Dolsky, the avatar that we will control and a worker in his state, will fail on the planet being on the verge of death. In order to survive Jan will have to create alternate versions of himself and thus move forward in this nebulous story.

Thomas Kisilewicz, game directorinsists on this point: They are not clones. They are quirks, that is, alternate versions of the same person. VSEach Quirk has a different set of skills, which are necessary to succeed, but players must manage to take care of each one. And each of them has a unique personality, resulting from their unique life course. How these paths unfold and how these relationships are built is entirely up to the player and their choices. »

Fruit of 3 years of work on the part of 3 studio teams, mainly from This War of Mine, The Alters has not yet opened an output window.
