The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase has just started and great announcements have just been made such as Redfall, Forza Motorsport or Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, the giant Riot Games has also made a name for itself to announce an unprecedented partnership with Xbox and its PC Game Pass.

Riot Games games are joining PC Game Pass this winter

It was therefore from the first half hour of presentation that Riot Games and Microsoft announced an unprecedented partnership which will bring Riot games to the PC Game Pass as well as advantages for subscribers to Microsoft’s on-demand game service. Riot Games has mainly made a name for itself with the famous MOBA League of Legends and with the FPS Valorant in recent years. This partnership will concern Riot’s PC games but also mobile games.

Concretely, players of League of Legends PC and League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile version, will have all the champions unlocked directly as well as immediate access to the new champions that will be released. Legends of Runeterra players (PC & Mobile) will be entitled to the Base Set unlocked directly while Teamfight Tactics players (PC & Mobile) will unlock certain Little Legends. Valorant players won’t be left out with the game’s 18 agents unlocked for Xbox Game Pass subscribers as well as each new agent joining the game.

This new partnership will undeniably strengthen the arguments of the PC Game Pass vis-à-vis the community of Riot Games players by reaching new targets who have not yet taken the step of the PC Game Pass. Further information on this partnership will be shared in the coming months with a rollout planned for this winter.
