(Reuters) – Former Wales and British & Irish Lions flyhalf Phil Bennett has died aged 73, his former team Scarlets announced on Sunday, prompting an outpouring of grief for the one of the country’s most beloved heroes in the sport. Bennett guided Wales to two Five Nations Grand Slams in the 1970s and also played a key role in the Lions’ tour of South Africa in 1974 when he scored the most points as they went unbeaten in four tests.
