Founded in 2008, the Polish studio MK Studios began its career by programming professional air pilot training simulators, then became dubbed fans of flight simulator by developing dozens of mod extensions for Microsoft’s simulator. AirportSimmarks a new stage for this team of enthusiasts, who produced their first commercial game there, with the help of the Warsaw publisher MS Games.
Unlike other simulators dedicated to air transport, the game takes place exclusively on the tarmac, in the shoes of an aircraft handler, who must take care of both the technical preparation of the aircraft and the the boarding of passengers on board, in most of the major terminals on our planet, obviously reproduced with maniacal fidelity. As such, the airports shown in the trailer (the most experts will have recognized that of the Faroe Islands and that of Keflavik in Iceland) testify to a great visual ambition for the title, since the 4K rendering is part of the many technical promises of the title , in addition to the day/night cycle and many atmospheric effects. And it shows, given its very beautiful screenshots.
To ensure that operations run smoothly and that no one forgets their luggage on the runway, a lot of equipment from real brands will be available such as tugs, walkways and even emergency slides. In addition to a Campaign mode, the game will offer a Visitor mode to roam freely in each airport, and even a two-player online coop to load our little carts with luggage in good company.
