The German army is set to get a new command structure as part of its response to the war in Ukraine, according to Defence Ministry plans. According to dpa sources on Monday, the ministry told leading members of the parliament that the Russian invasion of Ukraine had shown how the command structure of the armed forces needed to be more strongly orientated towards the requirements of national defence and the defence of Germany’s allies.
