Athletes waited three years for these Summer Olympics and a little rain wasn’t going to dampen their spirits. Rain washed out the bocce competition but the track and field events ran on through the rain and tennis was moved inside. More than 1,500 athletes competed over three days in seven sports at the Special Olympics of New Jersey’s games this past weekend at The College of New Jersey in Ewing.
