How would you like to send WhatsApp messages hands-free? Popular messaging platform WhatsApp is now available in Stories Glasses. With this integration, users can make calls, send messages with end-to-end encryption, and hear messages completely hands-free.
In addition to these features, users can also take photos and videos as well as listen to music. In addition to WhatsApp, Messenger is already integrated into the Stories glasses. According to Mark Zuckerberg, users will soon be able to directly reply to their WhatsApp and Messenger messages using voice commands.
The Verge article mentions that WhatsApp’s voice command feature was leaked back in April. This allows users to dictate messages to the glasses’ virtual assistant, most likely the Facebook assistant, without having to use their phone.
Meta is increasingly focusing on augmented reality and virtual reality products, as well as the “metaverse”. This AR/VR headset allows users to visit alternate worlds where they can interact with other people as well as create their own worlds.
Can WhatsApp appear on Apple glasses?
All in all, this WhatsApp integration opens up new doors for users to do with wearable technology. Since Apple’s own set of augmented reality glasses is still in development, it is not known if it will integrate with WhatsApp as it seems to be exclusive to Meta at the moment.
