Nintendo has just released the latest firmware update for the Nintendo Switch. All console owners can get their hands on version 14.1.2.

Since this is a minor update, the patch notes are quite short. Nintendo only says: “General system stability improvements to improve user experience”.

If you want more information, we have the unofficial patch notes fromOatmeal Dome.

  • The internal components of the operating system have been updated: bus, Bluetooth, package2. (bug fixes?)

  • A misspelled version of Adolf Hitler’s name (“hdolfaitler”) has been added to the bad words list (blacklist) for all languages.

The 14.1.2 update for Switch follows 14.0.1 but especially 14.1.0, which was made available at the beginning of April. This included new “Platinum Points Notification Settings” where users can be notified of unclaimed points under the My Nintendo rewards program. The last major firmware update for the Switch was version 14.0.0 in March. This brought the addition of groups, Nintendo’s response to requests for the return of records. This feature helps store and organize software on a certain section of the Nintendo Switch home menu.

As for the Switch update version 14.1.2, you can manually download the patch right now. Go to system settings, scroll down to the “System” tab, then select “System Update” to start the process.
