Which Russian banks have been disconnected from SWIFT

Earlier, on March 2, 2022, Russian banks were disconnected from SWIFT “VTB», “Opening», Novikombank, Promsvyazbank, Rossiya Bank, Sovcombank and VEB.RF. The applications of these banks have been removed from the App Store and Google Play Market. Now the applications of the banks that fell under the sanctions can be downloaded from official sites, but only on Android smartphones. The exception is VTB Bank, which twice released a clone of its application in the App Store under different names. The first time was not successful and the application called “Balance Online” was quickly removed from the App Store. But the second placement in the App Store became more successful, and for more than a month the new “old” application of VTB Bank has been in the iPhone application store and is in the top 5 most downloaded free applications of the Russian-language App Store.

The disconnection of Russian banks from SWIFT occurred as a result of the sanctions of the European Union, which also banned these banks from any circulation with the European currency euro.
