Yesterday, with the new Windows 11 25158, Microsoft also updated three apps. The media player (media player) can now not only play CDs, but also rip CDs from version 11.2206.30.0. The content can then be saved in AAC, WMA, FLAC and ALAC format.
The camera app from version 2022.2206.2.0 is now in Windows 11 “Look”. But that’s not all. Because from this version it is also possible to scan QR codes and barcodes. So finally the functions that a camera should have.
But even the Movies & TV app from version 10.22061 gets native Arm64 support. This should significantly speed up performance on ARM devices. Also, the local video file type associations are mapped to the media playback app (media player). “This migration only affects file types already associated with Movies & TV and only when you open Movies & TV for the first time.”
So if you’re on the Dev Channel, update the apps and check it out. If you are curious, you can install the apps manually. We have already described how it works many times.
