Recently, some classic games from the hit Metal Gear Solid series have disappeared from digital stores, but according to Konami, this should not remain a permanent situation.
Anyone who has toyed with the idea of perhaps getting and playing earlier titles from Metal Gear Solid has looked pretty good recently: Some earlier games were removed from the digital shelves without further ado and were no longer available for purchase. Konami is now giving the all-clear in this regard.
In a Japanese tweet, the company reiterated that this is a temporary condition that will be resolved. Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 should therefore make a comeback in digital form in the foreseeable future.

Konami announced in November 2021 that these two classics would have to be temporarily removed in order to renew licenses. Apparently, those for use within the game have expired.
The franchise is now celebrating its 35th anniversary as the first Metal Gear game was released on July 13, 1987. Since then, Hideo Kojima’s stealth series has had nine main titles, seven remakes and extended editions and various spin-offs. The last major release released is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from 2015.
While many villains just want to watch the world burn, this one has been deeply misunderstood.
