German farmers are calling for an increase in domestic agricultural production in response to the war in Ukraine, which has caused higher grain prices and led to scarcities of some commodities. Global grain quantities were down as a result of the Russian war in Ukraine, farmers’ association president Joachim Rukwied said on Tuesday. Ukraine and Russia are among the top global exporters of wheat.
