Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a particularly impressive all-new feature for its legendary Mercedes EQG. A version that makes you turn around on the spot. Explanations.
the Mercedes EQG will be the electric counterpart of the German manufacturer’s famous all-terrain G-Class. And it reveals a bit more in a video you can see above that showcases an awesome feature: the tank turn.
The Tank Turn is a mechanism that allows the Mercedes EQG to perform one or more turns on itself without difficulty. The goal? Get out of potentially dangerous situations. At the same time, it is an all-terrain electric 4×4.
For such an action to be possible, the vehicle must be equipped with a motor at each wheel, which is thus controlled independently of the others. And four engines that allow better road holding and better traction management. A Mercedes EQG will therefore be able to cope safely and without slipping on rough terrain and off the beaten track.
