Russia has established a parallel import of consumer electronics and spare parts. Certification of purchased goods has already begun. Izvestia reports.

According to the publication, batches of 75 product groups from Germany, Italy, Japan, China, South Korea and other countries have already been registered. This is mainly electronics, household appliances and auto parts.

Among the delivered goods there are products of Apple, Sony, Siemens, Samsung, Bosh, Electrolux, Mitsubishi, Toyota and IBM. Now it is easier to arrange parallel import services than before. For the period from March 21 to September 1, 2022, a simplified regime for declaring product conformity is in operation in Russia.

“It used to take up to a month to get a declaration. Now companies can register it in a few minutes, – Alexander Solovyov, deputy head of the Federal Accreditation Service, told Izvestia. One of the main objectives of the abolition of responsibility for importing goods without the permission of the copyright holder was to maintain access for the necessary foreign products to the Russian market.

With parallel imports, commodity prices have risen. Earlier, Russian stores received a batch of iPhone 13 Pro in Alpine Green. In the version with a 256-gigabyte drive, it is sold at Eldorado for 140 thousand rubles – 5 thousand more than in other colors. Last fall, at the start of sales, the iPhone 13 Pro with the same amount of memory cost 110 thousand in Russia.
