Shanghai Donghai Bridge will set up a dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests from July 18, and social vehicles will not be allowed to enter when it is activated.

IT House July 14 news, Shanghai traffic police announced today that in order to ensure the safety of autonomous driving test vehicles and social vehicles on the Donghai Bridge, according to the “Road Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” and other relevant laws and regulations, from July 18, 2022 Since then, the management measures of the dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests have been implemented at the Donghai Bridge.

The dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests is set up in Lane 3, the outermost lane in both directions of the Donghai Bridge.Special hours are from 10:00 to 13:00 every day, except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays for all citizens.

The dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests is reserved for autonomous driving test vehicles within a specified period of time, and other vehicles are not allowed to enterexcept for special vehicles, ambulances, and vehicles that perform emergency tasks.

For those who violate the regulations and enter the dedicated lane for automatic driving tests, the public security organ will impose a penalty of 100 yuan for the illegal act of “motor vehicles using the dedicated lane in violation of regulations” in accordance with Articles 37 and 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law.
