Apple’s new iPhone range is set to launch in the fall. However, with the iPhone 14 Max, one of the new devices runs the risk of not being able to meet the deadline because it will be the first of its kind.

As every year, Apple will launch a new range of iPhone models this fall. Four different devices are said to be planned, but one of them could only appear at a later date. At least that’s what industry analyst Ross Young thinks, who wants to know that Apple is having trouble getting all the necessary components for the iPhone 14 Max together in time. The smartphone is the first non-Pro model with a size of 6.7 inches.

That’s why the iPhone 14 Max could be delayed

According to Young, iPhone 14 Max shipments are “significantly behind” and would only be a third the capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro Max (via 9to5Mac). The reason for the problems is the size of the smartphone. While the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max each measure 6.7 inches, the two devices don’t use the same panels as the iPhone 14 Max doesn’t support Apple’s ProMotion technology. It remains to be seen whether the release of the model really has to be postponed.

There is no exact release date for the iPhone 14 anyway. According to rumours, however, the new series will be presented on September 13th and the pre-order phase will be opened at the same time. From September 23, the devices could then be delivered. Four models are rumored: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Some special editions can even be pre-ordered now, but these are luxury models for over 20,000 euros.
