A jury convicted a man last week of fatally shooting a 19-year-old Elizabeth resident in the city nearly three years ago, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday. Police found Carlos Rodriguez, of Elizabeth, shot on a sidewalk on the 500 block of East Jersey Street around 7 p.m on July 6, 2019, according to a statement from the office.
