The PlayStation 5 version of God of War: Ragnarok will feature two different display modes, citing promo material reportedly available to UK retailer ShopTo. Depending on your preference, you can choose between a higher resolution or a higher refresh rate.

As recently announced, God of War: Ragnarök will be released later this year as planned and will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in early November.

In addition to revealing the final release date, we received unconfirmed specifications for the PlayStation 5 version of God of War: Ragnarök at the end of the week. As reported, citing relevant promotional material that is said to be available from the British retail chain ShopTo, the new adventure of Kratos and Atreus on Sony’s current console will be provided with the now almost obligatory display modes.

Depending on personal preference, you can choose between a higher resolution or a higher refresh rate.

Choosing between 4K or 60FPS?

If the unconfirmed information is true, you will be given the opportunity to enjoy “God of War: Ragnarök” on the PlayStation 5 in 60 smooth images. On the other hand, you have to come to terms with a dynamic 4K resolution. If, on the other hand, a display in the native 4K resolution is important to you, then you will get your money’s worth in the resolution mode, which is conjured up on the screen in 30 frames per second.

According to the promo material, support for the 3D audio feature is also part of the game, but this was not discussed in detail. While the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller wasn’t explicitly mentioned, we can assume that it will also be involved in the gameplay.

Should Sony Interactive Entertainment or the developers at Sony Santa Monica Studios confirm the technical details of “God of War: Ragnarök”, we will of course update you immediately.
