If for you The Elder Scrolls VI is a thousand miles away from coming out anytime soon, you can count the years for Fallout 5 which has just been “discreetly” announced duringan interview with Todd Howard by IGN. Fortunately, you will soon have a good thousand planets to explore while waiting.
Fallout 5: the bets are open on the year of release
On the occasion of the presentation of Starfield during the last Xbox Bethesda Showcase conference, IGN was able to speak with Todd Howard about the space RPG. It was not only a question of the game which will arrive in 2021 but also of the two other big licenses of the firm. The man at the head of Bethesda calmly announces that Fallout 5 will be the studio’s next game after The Elder Scrolls VI. He also confirms that the latter is still in the pre-production phase.
If you were expecting a new Fallout, you will therefore have to be patient even if there is still the MMORPG Fallout 76 which continues to be fed with content. In a happier perspective, we can also hope for a return of Fallout New Vegas given that Bethesda and the Obsidian studio are now under the Microsoft banner. Recent rumors seem to go in this direction.
Re The Elder Scrolls VI, again you can count the years since pre-production means that the teams are still defining the contours of the game (lore, game design, game mechanics, etc.). By being broad and very optimistic, we can estimate an exit for at least 2026. With a little luck, we will be able to play Fallout 5 before having Fallout 5 when leaving home.
